* Honjin : A special inn for samurai(soldiers) at post town in Edo era. Daimyo(feudal lord) was obliged to live in Edo in every second year so that Daimyo accompanied by a lot of his Kerai(vassal) offen lodged at the inn which was designed for a strong guard against attach, assassination etc.
** Sekisho : Check gate built by the Edo shogunate government where an inspection was made by officers. Tourists could pass through with Tegata(Id plate made from wood) issued by the government. The main purposes were to arrest spys and to prevent the wife of Daimyo (she had to always live a life only at Edo area) coming out from Edo and guns coming into Edo.
